What’s included in a day at Longview
Every day at Longview is a little different, but a typical visit includes:
Afternoon tea before home time
A warm welcome with tea, coffee and biscuits on arrival
Morning activities — from gentle exercise and music to crafts, quizzes and reminiscence sessions
A fresh, nutritious-focused lunch provided by our award-winning caterers Apetito
Afternoon activities, time in the garden in fine weather, or simply a comfortable chair and good conversation
Our activities programme is planned around the interests of the people who join us — if there’s something your loved one particularly enjoys, tell us and we’ll do our best to include it.
We are extremely satisfied with the level of care and support you provide for [my husband], as well as all other residents in your care. We believe that the up-dates you provide, both e-mails and phone calls, along with FaceTime calls, are keeping us all well informed during this strange time.

Longview is a specialist residential care home for people over 65 living with dementia, so our whole team is experienced in dementia care — not just for residents, but for day guests too. We take time to get to know each person: their routines, their history, what puts them at ease and what brings them joy.
For someone living with dementia, regular day care can provide structure, gentle stimulation and social contact in a safe, familiar setting — and for many families it becomes a valued part of the weekly routine.
A break for family carers
Caring for a husband, wife, parent or friend is rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. Regular day care gives family carers across Goonhavern, Perranporth, Newquay, Truro and St Agnes time to rest, catch up on errands, or simply have a few hours to themselves — knowing their loved one is safe, well looked after and enjoying their day.
